Becca hadn't thought of that. And if the situation was different, she would have joke about "well he knows she exists". "That she's here?" Becca asked softly. "I don't think so... Do you want me to go get him?" She added.

"I don't know. Part of m... me thinks h.. he has a rig.. right to know... but another p..part thinks he has enough to deal with." Quinn said and put her head on the metal bars surrounding her baby.

"Quinn, seeing Beth wouldn't be another burden. I'm sure Noah would love to see her." Becca smiled, remembering the way Puck would always pay a little more attention when his daughter was mentioned.

Quinn took a deep breath. "Then I think he should see her." She said and reached forward to stroke Beth's cheek. Just then a nurse came in and said, "Visiting hours are over. Family only here." Quinn pulled her eyes away from her child and said, "I'm her mother. She is her god mother." That shut the nurse up and she left.

Becca laughed quietly. Nurses really do believe anything. She followed the nurse out of the room silently and down the hall, back to the waiting room where Puck had sat in the seat next to Becca's purse, looking as though he was afraid to touch it in case someone looked at him weird or something. Becca quietly made her way over and picked up her purse, using the other hand to take Puck's. "There's someone you need to see." She smiled softly, pulling him to his feet and leading him back down the hall to the room containing Quinn and Beth.

Quinn felt Beth's smooth skin beneath her fingertips. She could see both parent in her features now as she slowly drifted off into a sleep. She looked completely at peace apart from the machines attached to her.

Becca stopped outside the door, smiling widely at Quinn's natural talent for mothering and looked up at Puck's reaction. "Is that..." "Your daughter." Becca finished with a smile, watching her boyfriend entered room slowly.

Quinn watched as the heart monitor IV thing she had once been attached to slow down to show she was asleep. She sighed and kissed her forehead. She turned around and kept a hand rested on Beth's tiny hand.

Becca slipped into the room silently and drew the shutters to make sure no nurse walked in and berated them for "not being family" when clearly they were her parents, even while Beth was sleeping, you could see the resemblance. Beca turned to see Puck on the other side of Beth's cot, holding her free, tiny hand with his huge-in-comparison hand. She smiled and felt tears welling up behind her eyes at the picture. It was so perfect, so complete.

Quinn saw Puck stand at the other side and take her tiny hand. She smiled through the tears. Maybe he was a good father. Maybe Becca would be able to raise her child with him perfectly.

(OOC:this is gonna be a loooooong night.)

Becca didn't move to interrupt the perfect picture of the perfect family, she just stood there, watching like an idiot as Puck stared at his daughter in awe.

Quinn could hear the heart monitor picking speed and Beth's eyes opened and found her daddies eyes. Quinn saw that she recognized Puck too. Quinn smiled through her tears.

When Beth opened her eyes once more and looked at Puck with the same look of recognition, Becca left the room through the already-open door. She closed it behind her quietly because she knew--and hoped--that they would both stay in the room with their baby. She leaned against the wall outside and slumped to the floor, tears overflowing greatly now.

"She knows who you are" Quinn stated and stroked their baby's cheek again. She loved Beth more than anything in the world and seeing her now made Quinn so happy. She tore her eyes from her baby girl and turned to see that Becca had disappeared. She slowly got to her feet and went out of the room. She found her on the floor. "Becca? Whats wrong?" She said.

Becca panicked internally at the sound of Quinn's voice. She knew Quinn should be with Beth and she knew that she was just unintentionally attention-seeking. "Sorry." Becca wiped her cheeks absentmindedly. "Hormones." She lied with a smile, moving past Quinn and back into the room--she should be with her baby.

"Becca. Hormones aren't the excuse for everything. I've been through it and hormones only make some things happen and this ain't one of them. So, what's wrong?" Quinn said and grabbed Becca's shoulder to stop her.

Becca turned back to look at the blonde. "Quinn, ignore me. You should be with your baby. Seriously." Becca smiled brightly. "I'm fine!"

"Then why were you out here?" Quinn said and did the opposite to widening her eyes and scrutinizing Becca.

Becca sighed. "I just ... Needed some air. And I thought that you and Noah should have some time alone with your little girl." She answered.

"Oh." Quinn's eyebrows furrowed. "Thank you, Becca." She said and let a single tear escape her eye. "I don't think I can explain how happy I am." Quinn said.

Becca smiled at her friend softly and shrugged. "You don't have to explain, just go be with your daughter." She said, slightly confused as to who's words were escapig her mouth.

"Okay." Quinn said and did a little hop before casually walking back into the room and resuming her place. Puck had gotten Beth to fall asleep again. Quinn picked up the clip board near her and read to see what had happened.

Becca hesitated outside the room before deciding that she didn't want to draw anymore attention so she slipped back inside the room and stood in the corner quietly. "You know, you can hold her if you want." The unfamiliar woman's voice made Becca jump and look to where she was standing in the doorway, smiling politely. Becca guessed thy this was Shelby Corcoran, Beth's adoptive mother.

Quinn jumped at the sound of a voice. "You sure?" Quinn replied noting who it was and recognizing the voice. "Absolutely." Shelby replied with and Quinn scooped her up; careful not to Break Beth and Puck's hands. She cuddled Beth to her and smiled softly at her.

Becca smiled when Quinn held her daughter for the first time in a year. Shelby moved closer to the cot and stood at the end of it, smiling at the mother and daughter. Becca's eyes moved to Puck's face, which seemed so full of love as he watched Quinn and Beth. Becca couldn't figure out if it was just love for his daughter or whether he still felt something for Quinn.
